Artistic director Kevin Dowsett tells us what Gemma Collins 
was REALLY like at theatre 
school ahead of her DOI debut…

As self-confessed ‘diva’ Gemma Collins prepares to get her skates on for Dancing On Ice 2019, we 
can reveal that the TOWIE star has never been frightened of speaking her mind – even 
when she was eight years old.

Young Gemma attended TheatreTrain (1989-1995) where she spent three hours every Saturday doing dance, drama and singing lessons.
We caught up with her former teacher, Kevin Dowsett, 66, who tells us, ‘She’s never been shy in her life.’
He explained, ‘Most adolescents go through a period of self-consciousness but “brash” is a good word to describe Gemma. She wasn’t frightened of saying 
what she thought to anyone. There’s a kind of integrity and honesty in that… she was born ready to get on the stage, 
nothing could hold her back.’

Before Gemma, 37, joined TOWIE in 2011, Kevin says he received a ‘funny’ call from her asking, ‘I’ve decided to be an actor. What do I have to do?’ 
to which he replied, ‘You’re a one-off. Be yourself darling!’
And the rest is history.

So, as Gemma prepares to face the sharp tongue of DOI judge 
Jason Gardiner – who’ll be watching her every ice move – 
will the GC suffer a meltdown?
She quit ‘I’m A Celebrity…’ in 2014 after 72 hours in the jungle and threatened to walk out of Celebrity Big Brother just days before having an epic rant over her ‘Essex blow-dry’ but Kevin says, ‘People can be crushed by throwaway remarks, but being a performer since she was a kid has made Gemma quite gritty inside.

‘I hope she gives Jason as good as she gets – she won’t suffer fools gladly. I don’t think she’d crack. But you never know!’
Beneath her tough exterior, there’s another side to Gemma.
‘She was disciplined,’ recalls Kevin. ‘She had good habits and wasn’t an egotistical student.’

Gemma – who will join Richard Blackwood, Brian McFadden, James Jordan and Saira Khan on the ice – revealed last week she’s aware of the ‘grafting’ that lies ahead.
‘I know how hard it is,’ she says. ‘I’ve done my research! I am scared, I am nervous. 
I really want to give it a go. I love the costumes. 
I love the fun factor!’
And Gemma’s not the only one who’s worried.

When we asked Kevin if Gemma will struggle compared to tiny dancers, he says, ‘Yeah, of course she will. When I knew her, she was slim, she wasn’t the Gemma you see today. I didn’t know she could skate.’ And he has some advice.
‘Tapping into your own emotions is more important than getting the steps right. I wish her well. I hope she doesn’t fall!’
With Gemma’s experience 
of taking a tumble, we’re sure she’ll manage to style it out!

TOWIE star Tommy Mallet recently opened up about overhauling his lifestyle following a tough few months.

And now the Essex lad has revealed the results of his transformation with a topless photo on Instagram.

Proudly baring all, 26-year-old Tommy thanked his former TOWIE co-star Mike Hassini for helping him get in shape, while also revealing details of his workout plan.

‘I’m not perfect (yet),’ he started the caption. ‘But I’m day 30 into my 90 day #thesixpackrevolution I let me health slip and got up to 110kg probably the worst shape I’ve ever been in!!’

‘But I’ve got up and done something about it… by training 6 days a week with my bro @mike_hassini.’

He then teased even more snaps, adding: ‘Stay tuned for day 6!!! I’m coming!!’

And fans were quick to praise the reality star, as one replied: ‘Flipping heck. You look awesome. Well done you.’

A third added: ‘Brave thing to do , good luck tommy x,’ while a fourth tagged his girlfriend Georgia Kousoulou and added: ‘wow @georgiakousoulou must be so proudx’

Meanwhile, Tommy’s transformation comes after the TOWIE star recently stripped off for his new campaign championing men’s mental health awareness.

Alongside pals Pete Wicks, 29, James Lock, 31, Bobby Norris, 32, and Liam ‘Gatsby’ Blackwell, 30, Tommy opened up about suffering from anxiety.

After writing his insecurities on a large piece of paper, Tommy explained: ‘Sometimes I cry because it gets too much.

‘Because sometimes the overload of work and trying to balance a relationship can get too much.’

Tommy recently opened up about his mental health struggles on the new series of TOWIE, revealing that things got so bad he couldn’t leave the house.

‘I just sat there and looked at a wall,’ he said. ‘

‘I couldn’t leave the house. I know it was only a few days but still. I need to sort myself out first. But if you’re going through something and you don’t talk about it…’

The Only Way Is Essex star put on a very busty display as she walked the red carpet in a plunging satin dress.

The 35-year-old posed up a storm for photographers in the pale pink number, which also featured a daring thigh-high split.

Chloe teamed the garment with a pair of strappy nude heels and nude lipgloss as she grinned for the cameras outside London’s Grosvenor House.

Also showing some skin at the annual event was Love Island winner Dani Dyer, who arrived with her boyfriend Jack Fincham.

The reality TV stars looked as loved-up as ever as they mingled with fellow celebrities including Amanda Holden and Rochelle Humes.

Dani, 22, chose a beautiful beaded halterneck gown for the occasion, which she teamed with silver heels and a matching clutch bag.

Jack, 26, looked rather dapper in an all black suit as he cosied up to his girlfriend, whom he met on the hit ITV2 show.

The couple were closely followed on the red carpet by former pop star Rochelle, 29.

Fresh from her This Morning debut alongside Phillip Schofield today, the mother-of-two looked sensational in a blue velvet dress.

The asymmetrical number featured one long sleeve complete with a split, and was adorned with embellishment.

The Saturdays singer stood with one hand on her hip as she walked the red carpet – but no doubt she won’t be having a late night thanks to her new presenting role!

Another famous face who looked beautiful in blue was Britain’s Got Talent judge Amanda.

The 47-year-old blonde braved the cold in a strapless navy dress, which clung to her slender figure in all the right places.

Navy was also the colour chosen by the host of the evening, Carol Vorderman.

The former Countdown star, 57, commanded attention when she arrived on the red carpet wearing a figure-hugging halterneck dress which featured a tiered skirt.

Speaking about this year’s ceremony, which honours the nation’s unsung heroes, Carol said: ‘Pride of Britain is a very important part of my life. I’m thrilled that it’s become a staple part of British culture.

‘I never fail to be humbled by those who have often turned a tragedy into something pretty magnificent.’

The former TOWIE star reveals plans to expand her brood

Sam Faiers has revealed plans to expand her family during a Q&A with fans.

The 27-year-old, who is mum to son Paul, aged two, and daughter Rosie, 11-months, who she has with partner Paul Knightley has admitted she wants more children.

During a special Q&A on her Instagram story ahead of the new series of Sam Faiers: The Mummy Diaries on ITVbe, one fan asked, ‘Do you want more kids?’ to which Sam replied:’100% I would love 4/5 kids‘ followed by the shocked kitten, baby and love heart eye emoji.

The new series of the reality TV show kick started this week, and Sam admits the episodes were filmed back in June and she reveals the show takes four or five months to film.

Many fans are eagerly awaiting an engagement, since Sam’s sister Billie and fiancé Greg Shepherd announced they are to marry and the sisters usually do things around similar times – with them both having a second child in such a short space of time. Billie gave birth to son Arthur and Sam had daughter Rosie.

One fan asked, ‘When will you Paul pop the question (sic)’ and Sam replied, ‘Not sure? Ask him we are in no rush, we are perfectly happy at the moment.’

Sam juggles her busy work life with being a mum and some fans were keen to find out just how she does it.

One asked: ‘I’m a mum of 2 and barely manage to brush my hair in the morning! How do you do it?!’

In giving away her secrets to looking great while getting on with family life, Sam replied: ‘I set my alarm & wake up before the kids most mornings, I get myself ready, gym on some mornings, put a wash on, get breakfast ready etc before they get up. weekends that goes out the window.’

No doubt things are bound to get a bit trickier for Sam’s routine, with the pitter-patter of a few extra tiny feet in the future…

It’s been a tough series for James Lock and Yazmin Oukhellou so it should come as no surprise to viewers that they’re taking some time away to work things out.

A source told The Sun: ‘James and Yaz have taken a break from the show but are both set to return in the New Year. They have struggled with their relationship this series but love and care for each other so want to do whatever it takes to get back on track.’

Earlier this series fans watched as Lockie and Yaz reached boiling point, as he asked her: ‘What do we do? Something isn’t working. Do you want me to move out?’

Yaz replied: ‘Don’t try and play mind games with me. If you want to move out, James, move out.’

It seems taking a break from the show couldn’t have come at a better time for the pair, but Lockie previously revealed their relationship has always been fiery.

James said of their relationship: ‘Sometimes me and Yazmin are very passionate people and do go hot and cold. But that fiery and passionate relationship works for us. I know people look in and they’ve used the word toxic, but it’s not toxic at all.

‘People sometimes has a misconception and they don’t really understand it and because they don’t understand it, they judge it.’

A TOWIE spokesperson confirmed Lockie and Yaz will not be filming for the rest of the series, explaining: ‘It was mutually decided that James and Yazmin would not film the final two episodes of this series, allowing them time to work on their relationship.’

‘It’s nothing to do with that. That happened a long time ago. It was literally a few things with our relationship,’ he told The Sun.

Asked about a comment he made stating he’d ‘always love her’, Dan replied: ‘That comment was from a long time ago. I can’t remember when I said that. I haven’t said it recently. But that’s in the past. I’m with Amber and I’m happy with her.’

Dan then added that he hasn’t been in contact with 26-year-old Kate to congratulate her on the engagement, saying: ‘Nah we don’t speak. As I said a long time ago. I haven’t seen her for a long time.’ That settles that, then!

Meanwhile, Kate and Rio have been looking more loved up that ever over on Instagram as they enjoyed a special party for Rio’s 40th birthday over the weekend.

Next to a photo of the pair cuddling up at the start of the night, Essex babe Kate wrote: ‘The best night  #rios40th … ps we definitely didn’t look like this at the end of the night .’

She also gave fans a glimpse inside the lavish do which included a whole wall of photographs dedicated to Rio’s ‘worst looks’.

The reality star’s hectic schedule risks them being apart for the festive season

Gemma Collins and James ‘Arg’ Argent have had many ups and downs but Arg has revealed he is the reason behind his girlfriend’s latest upset.

The 31-year-old reality TV star is currently working in the Aladdin Pantomime at Manchester’s Middleton Arena, while Gemma is busy rehearsing for Dancing On Ice (DOI) which begins in the New Year. But being away from home is taking its toll on their relationship.

Speaking to us on the red carpet at The Sun’s Military Awards, Arg explained: ‘I’m doing Panto at the moment, just outside Manchester, in Middleton so I’m having fun but I’m away from home, away from Essex for five weeks but I’m going to try and come back, Gemma’s upset, so I’m going to try and come back for Christmas Day.’

But with a 5pm curtain up on the Christmas Eve performance and then curtain up at 1pm on Boxing Day, Arg had better get his skates on to make the hours count as it’s easily a 4.5 hour drive each way.

But his hectic panto schedule isn’t the only stumbling block to them spending Christmas Day together as Arg continued: ‘But where she’s doing DOI training it’s hard to – she’s at the ice rink all the time.’

Arg plays the evil Abanazar in the show and he’s likely to stay on Gemma’s naughty list if he misses the big day itself.

Meanwhile, Arg is very supportive of Gemma’s dedication to her ice skating training.

He told us, ‘She’s doing really well, some days better than others but she hasn’t missed a session, she’s always on time, she’s working really hard which is good.’

And he teased that he might be next to get his skates on.

‘I might do it next year’ said Arg. ‘There was talks of it [me doing DOI] but then as I started TOWIE Lauren Goodger done it then it came off air for a few years, you never know, next year maybe.’

So what’s the star got planned for 2019? He confirmed he’s taking to the stage for a spot of singing: ‘Next year the Arg Band is coming back together, I’m doing lots of gigs which is good fun, I really enjoy it.’

And he also reveals plans in the pipeline for his own reality show alongside Gemma, but is he worried it might put a strain on their relationship?

Arg replied: ‘Nah, I think me and Gemma should be used to that by now.’

With so much talk of the love birds starting a family, Arg admitted: ‘I’d love to be a dad one day, absolutely,’ but admits he wanted to wait and see what happens.’

He continued: ‘I’ve got myself into a routine structure, it’s all going well though. [The weightloss] is not going too good at the moment but I’m not letting it get me down.’

Let’s hope Arg can make it home in time for Christmas!

How the former TOWIE star has used her lads mag fame to transform herself into a £7.5m businesswoman…

It’s been almost 10 years since Sam Faiers hit our screens as one of the TOWIE originals and while many of her co-stars popularity has died down, sam’s been busy building a fan base and it’s sent her steaming ahead of her peers. We look at how the 28-year-old reality star has used her early glamour modelling days and TV fame to generate an impressive £7.5m turnover.

TOWIE takeover

When Sam joined TOWIE she was working as a glamour model earning just £50-a-day. No doubt hoping the show would boost her profile, she quickly became invovled with bad boy Mark Wright, before finding love with Joey Essex. Their on/off relationship and engagement pulled in various magazine deals and endorsements. Fame finally took its toll and Sam quit TOWIE to work on things with Joey… but it wasn’t meant to be.

Keeping it in the family

Following in Sam’s footsteps, sister Billie joined TOWIE and through the show’s success the sisters opened Minnies Boutique in 2011. At the time Sam vowed, ‘In five years’ time, I’d like Minnies to be an empire, expand it and make it the next ASOS.’ But reports this year claimed the business owed £150k. Ouch. This hasn’t stopped Sam and Billie, who now star hugely succuessful show The Mummy Diaires. Off the back of this, Sam launched clothing brand All Bits London which turned over a massive £1.8m last year!

Controlling the controversy

Success comes at a price and unfortunately for Sam she fell ill during her 2014 stint on Celebrity Big Brother ands was later diagnosed with Crohn’s Disease. After finishing fifth place, she raised awareness fronting several campaigns and launched her Celebrity Training with Sam Faiers.
But it was a decision to keep the controversial kiss on the lips between partner Paul Knightley, aged 27 at the time and his mum Gaynor which propelled Sam’s own reality show to another level. Social media went into meltdown, pushing Sam to defend the smooch. Surprisingly the fly-on-the-wall show snowballed and in July 2017 Sam reportedly signed a six-figure deal to film three more series of the ITVBe show.

Branching out

It might look like Sam’s done everything – she’s got the autobiographies (£750k) and perfume to prove it – but she’s still achieving some firsts. She spent her first Christmas in the Maldives, away from her mum Sue and sister Billie, but partied with A-listers singer Rita Ora and actress Jaime Winstone. And earning a reported £8,500 per sponsored Instagram post to her 2.2m followers, she can definitely afford to!

And Sam recently returned to her glamour modelling roots, stripping down to her undies for Boux Avenue lingerie campaign. Bust aside, we’re sure the cash will keep flowing in 2019…

Vicky has shared some snaps from the mini-break

Following her tough split from fiancé John Noble last year, it looks like Vicky Pattison is finally getting back to her best with some much needed R&R.

After jetting home from her sister’s wedding in Mexico, the former Geordie Shore star headed off on a cosy break to the Cotswolds earlier this week with former TOWIE star Ercan Ramadan.

Clearly moving on from her heartbreak, the reality TV pair relaxed together along with a group of their friends at Soho Farmhouse as they enjoyed drinks and dinner.

Taking to Instagram, 31-year-old Vic shared some snaps from the getaway where she can be seen braving the winter chill outside their cabin in a fluffy coat.

The former I’m A Celebrity winner then shared a snap of the ‘whole gang’ posing at the farmhouse along with a couple of cute dogs.

Gushing over her stay, Vic wrote alongside the photo: ‘Farm Friends… (like firm friends but because we’re at the farm it’s farm friends?! It was better before I explained it wasn’t it?! )

‘Love this lot- such a cute trip!!! I’m lucky to have such lovely pals! And of course – I’m obsessed with hank and Remington!’

While Vic has insisted the pair are just friends, an onlooker reportedly spotted them ‘flirting, hugging and laughing’ together as they were walking around.

Ercan – who appeared on The Only Way Is Essex very briefly back in 2017 – also reportedly posted a photo with his arms around the reality star but swiftly deleted it.

Although it looks like these two are just pals, as a source close to Vicky told MailOnline: ‘Vicky is away with a group of friends, Ercan included.

‘She is enjoying his company at the moment – nothing more, nothing less.

‘She 100% isn’t ready to start anything official yet with anyone but has enjoyed the past couple of days hanging out with the group of them.’

This comes after the Newcastle native recently revealed she was ‘ready to date again’ following her messy split from John last year, when he was spotted getting cosy with multiple women in a Dubai nightclub.

Taking to Instagram, Vicky told her followers: ‘Getting back into the dating scene is hard for me in that I have to shave my legs AND stay up past 10.’

Before adding: ‘Plus it’s cold outside and I’m in a pretty serious relationship with gin. And I could never be disloyal #oldladyproblems.’

Myles Barnett and his Love Island girlfriend Kady McDermott are also said to have been dropped, with ITV2 bosses apparently looking for a new pool of reality TV talent.

A source revealed: ‘Towie bosses have had their biggest ever casting drive so far in the show’s history.

‘Casting producers have been hanging out in all the top Essex hotspots like Sheesh to find the next generation of stars.’

The insider went on to reveal to The Sun that Dean Ralph and Jordan Wright have been told they won’t be returning next series either after ‘failing to find their place’.

Following the shock news, Myles, 24, has since spoken out about his departure, slamming the programme for encouraging a ‘toxic and negative environment’.

The former reality star – who joined the show as Courtney Green’s boyfriend in 2017 – shared a photo next to new girlfriend Kady along with a powerful message.

‘After an eventful two years at TOWIE with many highs and lows I have taken the decision upon myself to leave TOWIE,’ he started the lengthy rant.

‘When something no longer fulfils you, makes your grow as a person or even just makes you happy it’s best to leave it in the past.’

The Essex star went on to say he is focussing on his career and relationship before admitting the show ‘brought out a side he wasn’t always proud of.’

He continued: ‘As much as I enjoyed my time on it I started to find it very toxic and negative environment for myself.

‘I am the happiest I’ve been in a very long time and I would like to keep it that way by removing any negativity in my life.’

‘I’m going to use my social media so you can all get an insight of my life and the highlights and get to know the real me, and more importantly so I can control how my life is shown instead of it being in the hands of tv editors who are strangers to me.’

Chloe also went on to share a message saying she was grateful for the ‘amazing opportunities’ TOWIE has brought her.’

This isn’t the first time ITV2 bosses have made brutal changes to the cast, and last year seven famous faces were dropped including Amber Dowding and Mike Hassini.

Speaking to The Sun, a spokesman for the show confirmed: ‘Every series we review our cast to ensure we’re following the lives of those who are most interesting and willing to share their real lives and relationship highs and lows.

‘A number of cast have been notified that they’re not being contracted for the start of series 24 as we look to bring in some fresh new faces, however we’ve always maintained that cast can return as and when the timing is right for them and the show.’

Hot-headed couple James Lock and Yazmin Oukhellou had to take a bit of time out from filming The Only Way Is Essex last year after they came to blows in a couple of episodes.

But despite missing the last two episodes, the pair are said to be back on track.

Speaking to CelebsNow in the Tresor Paris box at the National Television Awards last month, James said: ‘It was a mutual decision to have a little break, it helped massively.

‘There’s a lot of pressure in the show and sometimes people do need to take time out, whether it’s a reality show or nine to five.’

He teased, ‘there was a lot of animosity among certain people’, but mentioned no names of his cast-mates.

Meanwhile, girlfriend Yazmin is reaping the benefits of their relationship TV break.

She told us: ‘We’re better than ever, we was going through a bit of a tough time, all couples go through that and we needed a bit of time out and that’s done us the world of good.’

But like many celebrities who take time out of the spotlight, it seems Yaz has a little bit of *FOMO [*Fear Of Missing Out] and can’t wait to get back in front of the cameras.

‘I’m excited – I can’t wait to get back. I hate all the time off I fee I don’t know what to do with myself,’ she said.

But last week there were fresh reports the pair had been axed from the show but this was said to be false.

So, aside from TOWIE filming, what else have the couple got coming up in 2019?

‘We’ve got a bootcamp wellness retreat in Marrakesh,’ James revealed.

Yazmin continued: ‘We’re in business together, it’s for people who are maybe going through a little bit of mental health, depression, or a break-up and want to get away have some fitness and lose a bit of weight, good for the mind yoga and mindfulness – we’re doing that together.’

James added: ‘A lot of people forget about the mind – they go to these bootcamps to get fit but they need to train the mind as well. You’ve got to train the whole body, and a lot of people, whether they suffer from anxiety, depression or a bit of stress from working, this bootcamp is there to help.’

‘We’re going to be doing some weeks for couples as well, so if they, like us, they’re going through a bad time we’ve got a couple’s retreat, we’ve got therapists there that can help you through it,’ Yazmin explained.

The pair wouldn’t answer whether they had received couples therapy themselves and when asked what the next step of their relationship is, Yazmin joked: ‘I’m pregnant. I’m due tomorrow!’

James added: ‘I’m not the father though,’ before Yazmin continued: ‘Who knows, I’m hoping for an exciting future. I think it’s going to be a very long future.’

Speaking to us exclusively at the launch of her Goddiva clothing line, 31-year-old Vicky confessed: ‘Everyone would love us to get with Pete, but I’m not his type and he’s not mine.

‘He has better hair than me… and I think we’d kill each other if we were in a relationship.’

Confessing their friendship is too important to jeopardise, she continued: ‘I love him so much as a friend I think maybe I’d be scared to tarnish it, because let’s have it right I haven’t got the best track record with the lads have I?

‘So I’d probably end up losing him and that’s not a chance I’m willing to take. He’s too important.’

But despite Vicky insisting she’d never go on a date with the 29-year-old Essex hunk, there’s someone who is desperate for the reality pair to get together – and that’s her mum Caroll.

‘I’d been broke up with my ex a couple of weeks, and my mam was like “you know who’s single?” and I was like “who?” and she was like “Pete Wicks”,’ Vicky confessed.

The star continued: ‘My sister has a little Chihuahua – Boo – and he hates everyone. And she went, “When Pete met Boo, he loved him”.’

Following her brutal split from John – after videos emerged of him getting cosy with multiple women in Dubai – now Vicky is rumoured to be dating Ercan Ramadan, who appeared in ITVBe spin-off The Only Way Is Marbs.

Opening up about her love live, the star told us: ‘I’m hoping for something to happen organically, I am ready to be loved. I’m in a position to find someone who does love us. I’m excited about what the future holds but I’m in no rush.’

Dating aside, Vicky has recently launched a brand new ‘Fluorescence’ collection with Goddiva which includes a whole host of vibrant jumpsuits, asymmetric midi’s and figure-hugging gowns.

Speaking about the exciting project, Vicky said: ‘I’ve always struggled trying to force my quite curvy body into things that are just geared for smaller women.

‘I want to encourage women to be bold, adventurous, strong and brave and love who they are – and that’s what the idea behind the range was.’

Speaking in the series three opener of Ferne McCann: First Time Mum on Wednesday, Ferne was unhappy with her make-up artist Mikey Phillips for telling her about the rumours surrounding her appearance.

‘You know what he said to me recently, he said his girls are saying, “Ferne looks amazing but has she had lots of work done?”’

Speaking to the camera, she said: ‘I’d tell you if I went under the knife. I’m not one to not tell you. Everyone knows I had a nose job.’

She then confirmed she has only had two procedures done.

She said: ‘I’m setting the record straight. I’ve tightened my teeth and I had a nose job,’ before adding: ‘And I get my eyebrows threaded. That’s it.’

Ferne then ranted to her viewers: ‘It’s p***ing me off that everyone keeps saying I’ve had surgery. Like wow, what have I had done? I want to put these rumours to bed guys. This is au naturale.’

Cheeky voiceover Rylan Clark-Neal then replied: ‘I believe you Ferne – millions wouldn’t.’

Meanwhile, Ferne recently admitted that she while she wants her reality series to be genuine; there are certain topics, like Sunday’s dad Arthur Collin’s 2017 acid attack , she will keep private.

‘I like to show reality on my show and the good times and bad. I want people to see me as genuine,’ Ferne said.

‘But when I have to have that conversation with Sunday and explain certain things, it will be a private thing,’ she told Closer magazine.

Vicky previously revealed that she has found someone who makes her smile again after she was caught snogging Ercan during a night out.

However, speaking to The Mirror over the weekend, Vicky admitted she’s not in love… yet.

She said: ‘We are officially dating but it’s not love yet. I do still believe in love, though.

‘I have to or I would be very sad. I am worried about ­rebound, I want to make sure I’m doing things for the right reason and not just to feel better’.

Vicky’s new romance comes after she ended her engagement to fiancé John following pictures of him looking close to multiple women in a Dubai nightclub, though he denied cheating allegations.

Speaking on This Morning last month, she confessed the heartbreak left her at rock bottom and questioning what she did wrong.

Talking hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield, she said: ‘I think when something like this happens, it’s never happened to me before and a pray it never happens again, you can’t help but blame yourself.

‘I started to think “if I was thinner he might have loved us,” or “if I looked more like those other girls”.

‘But in the end I couldn’t make John love me and I couldn’t make him a man because that’s not my job.’

The I’m A Celebrity winner then added: ‘But I’m getting there, I’m getting stronger.’

Seems fair enough, although there is one thing which Celebrity Big Brother star Meg won’t stand for in a relationship – and that’s burping!

She continued: ‘Burping is my biggest turn off… I’d rather a fart. I find farting funny. Burping makes me feel sick.’

Turn offs aside, Megan also went on the open up about coming face to face with her TOWIE ex Pete – who’s also starring in the E4 reality show.

‘I’m glad Pete’s on the show and we’re friends now… it wouldn’t have happened otherwise,’ she told us.

Speaking ahead of the first CGD episode, 29-year-old Pete also spilled the beans on his friendship with Megan, saying they’re now in a ‘good position’.

‘This has probably been another lovely thing that has come out of this,’ he said.

‘Me and Megan hadn’t spoken to each other in a long time, we had both moved on and had relationships that didn’t work out and we joined the agency to meet someone else.

‘Before me and Megan actually got together, we were actually quite matey and because so much has gone on and we’re in such a good position, we’ve gone back to being mates.’

He added: ‘So yeah that’s probably been the nicest thing. It was awkward but you don’t want to be negative.

‘I always thought she was a good girl. Just not the right girl for me and I wish her the best. I think she’d say the same, I’m not the right guy for her.’

‘I’m so flattered that everyone thinks I’ve had bum implants but, alas, it’s all mine,’ she said.

‘It’s weird, as some days my bum looks bigger than others. Also, I know how to pose to make it look extra peachy LOL. Some days it just looks different. Same with everything. It’s sad that people just assume I must have had surgery.’

The star added: ‘To be honest, when I lose weight it gets smaller and I’m embarking on a mega-fitness and weight-loss journey at the moment, so it will probably start shrinking. Then what will people say – I’ve had it deflated? LOL. I have thick thighs and a bum. That’s what my mama gave me!’

Mark is officially moving back to Blightly

Despite insisting he definitely hadn’t quit his presenting role in the US back in December, it turns out Mark Wright has in fact – you guessed it – quit his presenting role in the US.

The former TOWIE star moved away from his wife Michelle Keegan in England back in 2016 as he jetted across the pond to work on entertainment news show Extra.

But now 32-year-old Mark has revealed he’s set to be reunited with the Coronation Street actress full-time after leaving his job in LA.

Opening up about his decision to move back to Essex, Mark said: ‘I’m no longer living in LA. I was there for nearly two years and had the most amazing time.

‘It just feels like the right time to come back to the UK and live here with my wife and family.’

Speaking to The Sun, he added: ‘I’ll always be grateful to the show Extra for the amazing opportunity they gave me.

‘I loved my time at Extra and I love my bosses, who I’ve left on great terms with, so I look forward to working with them more in the future.’

Mark will be working on the new series of The Bachelor on Channel 5 as his first full-time role in Blighty.

It seems as though Mark has been back in his home county for a few days now as he took to Instagram with a glimpse of his night out at a ‘Proper London pub’ yesterday.

And the reality star is also enjoying some home comforts as he posted a photo of a delicious-looking meal made by 31-year-old Michelle.

‘Home to a nice homemade dinner by my @michkeegan,’ he wrote alongside the snap of the pasta dish alongside a bottle of red wine. AW!

The pair also spent Valentine’s Day together as they went on a romantic walk through the Essex countryside with their dogs.

‘So it’ll be Michelle filming in South Africa and then I got the job in Los Angeles – so we think, right, we’ll try next year.

Gemma Collins is reportedly in talks for a sensational TOWIE return after quitting the series last year to focus on Dancing On Ice.

The reality TV star is said to be very ‘loyal’ to the ITVBe show as it’s where she got her big break back in 2011 and would gladly return – but only if her schedule allows it.

‘She can’t be in the Sugar Hut talking about how she’s working in her shop when her fans know she wasn’t, and instead she was shopping in Harrods with her Dancing On Ice mates’.

‘But she loves the show, loves the team and wants to return next series.’

Talk of Gemma’s return comes after it was claimed she’s been approached to star in her own reality TV series.

The GC is said to be ‘weighing up’ a number of ‘big money offers’ after being eliminated from DOI, but is taking some time off before making a decision.

‘Gemma has been inundated with big money offers for different shows,’ a source told The Sun.

‘She’s spent the last couple of weeks weighing up her options and deciding what the next step is in her career.

‘Several production companies are keen to work with her but she’s taking a week or two to relax and spend time with her loved ones before signing on the dotted line.

‘But it’s a dream come true for Gemma and she has big plans for when it all becomes official.’

According to reports, stars of Love Island and TOWIE were forbidden from walking the red carpet at the O2 Arena as BRITs bosses didn’t want them mingling with A-list music stars.

TV personalities like Megan Barton Hanson were allegedly refused tickets by organisers in a bid to make the annual awards bash more ‘upmarket’.

The strict rule was put in place because bosses thought it would be ‘ridiculous’ for reality TV stars to mix with musical talent like Little Mix, Liam Payne and Pink.

‘The organisers wanted to make this year’s Brits all about the music so put a ban on reality TV stars walking the red carpet,’ a source told The Sun.

‘They had such a huge amount of artists at the event, including Pink, Calvin Harris and Dua Lipa – it would have been ridiculous if they were posing next to someone who got famous because of Love Island or Towie.’

Apparently, bosses even turned down requests from some celebrities who wanted to walk the red carpet.

The insider added: ‘Organisers turned down any requests to walk up the red carpet to stop them mingling with the stars.’

Reality TV stars were also said to have been banned from the after-parties that followed the ceremony.

But that didn’t seem to stop Love Island’s Megan, who was papped on the red carpet at Sony Music’s after-party at Aqua Shard.

Other guests at the Sony party included Little Mix, who scooped their second BRIT award on Wednesday.

The girls were joined by their respective boyfriends, apart from single Jesy who snuck into the bash alone before flashing her bra as she exited with a male pal.

Last month James ‘Arg’ Argent insisted he’d committed to getting back 
in shape after going teetotal, explaining, ‘I’m around six months sober at the moment.’

But even after banning the booze, fitness and nutritional expert Laurel Alper advises, 
‘Arg needs to open up all his wounds to address some of the issues that he’s talked about.’
A self-confessed yo-yo dieter – over the past 16 years, Arg, 31, has gone from having a ‘normal frame’ to bloating out in 2014.

19½ stone,’ he said. ‘I’d still like to get a bit of weight off.’

The reality star has had more than his fair share of online trolling. He revealed, ‘People tweet me messages like, “You fat piece of s**t, what have you eaten today?”’ Although he tries to ‘laugh it off’ he admitted, ‘There have been times when 
it has hit my confidence.’

Binge struggles

The Essex boy makes an honest admission, 
‘I love food and have 
a huge appetite,’ and because he eats ‘to celebrate… and to comfort’, it’s become the norm for him to eat a fry-up for breakfast, followed by a pizza or burger for lunch, with dinner being an Indian or Chinese. He added, 
‘I can keep eating pizza even when it feels like 
I am full.’ But he can diet when he wants to – in 2012, Arg lost two stone in just six weeks before running the London Marathon 
and slimmed down following his Thailand rehab stint in 2017.

Dieting vs dating

‘I couldn’t see any reason to watch my weight because 
I didn’t have a girlfriend,’ Arg once said. But in the early days of dating the GC, he revealed, ‘If I stayed overnight she’d cook me the most enormous breakfasts… I almost got the impression that she was trying to fatten me up!’

His comfort cardigan?

If you’re wondering what’s going on with Arg’s cardi obsession, he admits his weight makes clothes shopping a ‘real drag’. His favourite shops like Topman only go up to size 36, but at his largest, Arg takes a 40in waist.
