Pete Wicks from TOWIE and his brother used to be bullied for their mullets and alternative style
He may be Essex’s blue eyed beauty these days, but TOWIE’s Pete Wicks hasn’t always been the popular guy we all know and love.
While catching up the new found reality star and his brother – who refused to take part in The Only Way is Essex and would rather remain out of the limelight – he exclusively revealed to us that the pair were outsiders when they were younger and liked to be different when they were at school.
And people didn’t seem to be a big fan of that.
‘We were alternative in High School and would stand in the corner and get beaten up. We were just on our own,’ his brother told us at In The Style’s summer party in association with Now. ‘Everyone think we were popular, but we were always bullied.’
Aw you guys! We would have definitely hung out with in the classroom.
The other girls and boys may not have wanted to play with Pete and his bro, but at least the two had each other. Brotherly bonds are the best ones.
‘He was alternative Peter and I was his little side kick, and people used to take the piss out of us,’ Pete’s bro said.
But even though the pair stuck together, that didn’t stop them being competitive. Nope, not over sports or girls. But over hair… Boys eh?
‘We used to have mullets. We once had a competition on who could grow the longest mullet. Peter won.’
Mullets didn’t seem to be too popular on the playground though as Pete’s brother said that they ‘got bullied to f**k’. Ouch.
Gone are those days though! Now Pete’s flowing long locks are a piece of art to be admired!
And we’re not the only ones who seem to be a fan of the hunky heartthrob, as he and fellow TOWIE gal Verity Chapman have been spotted smooching behind the bike shed. Well, not really, but you get the idea.
Speaking about their on-screen kiss, Verity said: ‘Pete is a really good kisser and I definitely wouldn’t mind kissing him again!’
