Former TOWIE star Jasmin Walia - who unsuccessfully auditioned for X Factor last year - is now recording her own music
It’s no secret that former TOWIE star Jasmin Walia dreams of becoming a pop star – she tried out for last year’s series of The X Factor, after all.
Now the brunette beauty has revealed she’s working on making that dream a reality by recording her first album, and she’s got her sights set on a collaboration with one of the finalists on this year’s series of the ITV show – Mason Noise!

Speaking to the Daily Star, gorgeous Jasmin revealed: ‘I’m in the studio writing my album – it has taken a while but it’s great.’
She added: ‘X Factor was an experience for me but now I’m doing it on my own.’
She went on to describe her musical sound, saying: ‘It’s very commercial, pop, dance and a bit of hip-hop.’
Sounds good!
And turning her attention to this year’s X Factor, Jasmin said: ‘I would love to work with Mason. I know he had a bit of attitude but I think he’s amazing.’
Having been told by Simon Cowell during her audition that she ‘hasn’t got a great singing voice, Jasmin went on to say: ‘It isn’t about having the best voice, it is about the package.’
Truth, Jasmin. Truth.
The 25 year old quit The Only Way Is Essex earlier this year after joining as a full cast member in 2012.
Writing on Twitter at the time, she said: ‘I can confirm that I am taking a break from filming #TOWIE but would like to thank everyone involved with the show, Producers, Crew & Cast x’
And now it looks as though she’s using all that extra free time to give her music career another shot – here’s hoping she has more success this time round!
